The BNB Chain is heating up and it’s incredible seeing them pour onto our socials and show love for the approach we are taking. We feel so fortunate to be here.
📷 Macro Picture of Art and Technology
We often speak about “the bigger idea” or a larger plan. In some cases, it relates specifically to Oddblox and what we are trying to grow on our end. It also relates to a larger worldview that we see now in its early stages. Art is an expression and as humans, it’s in our nature to express ourselves. Technology is an ever-growing facet of our daily lives that has quickly evolved from simple circuits to microprocessors.
We see Oddblox as the merge of those two ideas at a rudimentary level. It’s distilled down from a larger worldview which is based on the belief that technology will continue to exist and grow and art will take new forms. These new forms may not be hosted on canvas or print. Screens are becoming more affordable and accessible. The number of TVs in the homes of Americans continues to grow.
We believe art, as we know it, will largely shift to a digitally native form. Ownership of the art will be verified by the blockchain and be most easily transacted through this means. It’s a blossoming sector that is not quite understood or even shunned among some headstrong creative types. What these art-focused NFTs will evolve into is up for speculation. What we can say is that there will be more. The landscape will change drastically with time and it’s our goal to stay on the bleeding edge of this movement.

• We are a part of @TheLvngDeadNFT cross-project contest! This is a week-long contest being held within multiple groups in the BNB Chain. The top 2 in each community will be sent to the finals to compete for $BNB and NFT prizes. The top 10 are guaranteed a prize. Congrats to @CryptoJones2011 and @dePlavka for making it to the final round.
• We have had some of our community members put in major work to ensure they represent us going into the next round. Thank you to everyone that has participated so far.
• We ran a giveaway that is still ongoing with the team over at The Bull Society along with the DAC boys. Be sure to check it out here and don’t miss out on the opportunity!
📰 Marketing
• We are slowly pulling over the people that exclusively buy and sell on the Binance NFT marketplace. Many parts of the BNB Chain ecosystem are fragmented. We are always trying to reach out to users and communities on other chains. It’s important to realize we have many on our own chain that is unaware of what many are building here. We will bridge them.
• We held our first weekly Twitter spaces this week! This time was mostly just to touch base with the community and share our plan moving forward with the spaces. Thanks to everyone who tuned in and I’m excited for this coming week.
• Working on getting listed to a very prominent site on BNB Chain. Talks have been started but it seems they are a bit slow to respond. We will continue to follow up as things progress.
🕵️♂️ Personal
• I (KD) have been doing a PHP and MySQL class. It is about just as difficult as I thought it would be…just keep swimming.
• I (CB) have been drowning in work and other IRL work. Excited to clear it out of the way for next week and have more time to devote to growing Oddblox!

• What this means is that we are going to choose someone in the community every week and give them a little something.

About Oddblox
Oddblox is a purely on-chain generative art series comprised of 4096 experimental pieces. Each piece abstracts negative space in a unique way leaving the viewer open to interpret the forms created. Using a variety of shapes and color palettes each piece is assembled on mint. The created image is then encoded and stored in the token. When you own the token you truly own the art.
